Line Break Production Expectations

At Line Break, we strive to create an environment that allows our staff, collaborators, clients, and community members to feel safe and cared for. When people feel safe, they are free to contribute the most to what we’re creating and gain the most from their experience while creating it.

To that end, we expect everyone on Line Break productions to:

Act in a professional manner. This means respecting the boundaries of others and being mindful of the daily aggressions Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Women, Queer, and Trans people experience.  Imperialist, heteropatriarchal, white supremacist norms exist everywhere, but on Line Break productions we work to combat them through the manner in which we treat each other.

Be mindful of safety and speak up in real time when a situation is unsafe. Safety is everyone’s job, whether you notice a light stand that needs a sand bag or a crew member that is making others feel unsafe with their behavior.

Be a teacher and a student. Share information without belittling, and be ready to learn from each other’s experiences and skill sets. Whether it’s determining the most appropriate lens to frame an interview or the best way to relate to an interviewee, we value the range of talents our crew brings to the stories we tell.
